Heidelberg CD 102 (packaging & board)

The CD platform is built for heavier board and packaging — thicker gripper margins, stronger sheet transfer, and often a coater (LX) for inline aqueous coating. Choose CD 102 if you run carton, monocarton or premium packaging work rather than light commercial jobbing. Heidelberg Speedmaster SM 74 (20×29 inch / half size)

• Impression count. The true measure of how much life a press has done, like kilometres on a car. Lower is better, but a well-maintained higher-impression Heidelberg often beats a neglected low-impression one. We state the impression count on every listing.
• Console & automation (CP2000, Autoplate, Preset). Confirm the CP2000 touchscreen, ink preset and Autoplate automatic plate changing are present and working — they cut make-ready time dramatically and add real value.
• Dampening & temperature (Alcolor, Technotrans). Alcolor continuous dampening backed by Technotrans refrigeration/circulation is what keeps colour stable through a long run. Check the chiller runs and holds temperature.
• Rollers, blankets and cylinders. Roller condition and cylinder/bearer surfaces decide print quality. We check for wear, corrosion and gear-mark issues.
• Feeder and delivery. Sheet feeding and high-pile delivery should run clean at speed without double-sheeting or marking. A Grafix/Alphatronic powder spray unit keeps delivery dry.
• Electricals and drives. Motors, main drive and control boards must be sound — the costliest surprises are electrical, so this is inspected thoroughly.
• Who you buy from. The biggest risk in used machinery isn’t the machine — it’s the seller. Buy from a dealer who lets you see the press running before you pay and stands behind it to installation.
